Education and Group Visits

From Clubs to Curriculum

At the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum, we are excited to offer educational experiences to groups of all ages and interests. Our education team works hard to create Colorado Education Standards aligned lessons and activities to engage students with a variety of subjects. From science, to history, to art, there is a lot we can do both inside and outside the classroom.

Programming is available for Scouting of America and Girl Scout troops, too. Scouting of America troops can earn the Mining Society Merit Badge with specially designed activities to do at the National Mining Museum. Girls Scout troops can earn the Lou Henry Hoover Badge by learning about former First Lady Lou Hoover’s contributions to the fields of Geology and Engineering.

Learning isn’t just for kids, either! We would love to give a specialized guided tour for college students and adult groups. If you are curious about what kinds of tours the Museum can offer, please contact our education team!
