Nominate an Inductee

Anyone may nominate a candidate for induction into the Hall of Fame, but every nomination must be submitted using the official National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum (NMHFM) Nomination Form. Members of the Board of Governors and the Board of Directors of the NMHFM may not nominate or endorse candidates for induction into the Hall of Fame.

Honor Mining’s Legends at the National Mining Hall of Fame

It takes all kinds of people to contribute to greatness. If you wish to submit a nomination, you must use the official Nomination Form (linked above). National Mining Hall of Fame Inductees will be selected by the NMHFM Board of Governors, and ratified by the NMHFM Board of Directors, whose decisions are final. Inductees will be notified as soon after their selection as possible using the contact information provided by the nominator as requested on the Nomination Form. Once the Inductees have been notified, the nominators of unsuccessful nominations will also be notified. Unsuccessful nominations will be reconsidered for two additional years (each nominee is potentially considered for three years total). If a nomination remains unsuccessful after three years of consideration, the nomination may be revised, updated, and resubmitted for future consideration up to two additional times (each time the nomination is submitted, it will again be considered for three years, for a potential total consideration of nine years).
